Uncle Joe's is SO GOOD!!!!!!! The chicken is so tender and juicy, cooked much better than Can3's ... If you're expecting the chicken and fries etc to be seasoned perfect, you're missing the point. The secret is in the sauce. Uncle Joe's sauce tastes so good, you'll want to dip everything in it! If the seasoning on the chicken and everything was too strong, it wouldn't taste right. Just trust me - buy extra sauces when you go and kick back and enjoy some delicious food!! My husband, daughter and I were so in love with the food. We had a combo there and took one to go. The owner is so nice too!!

One of the few places with good reviews walking distance from my hotel, I opted to get a Fish & Chips combo $18.64 after tax to stay. Provided a Styrofoam (wow) 16 oz cup for fountain drinks, I waited approximately 8 minutes for my order. Received in a basket, a small container of tartar sauce, coleslaw, crispy fries, and two fillets of fried catfish. At first, it was obvious it was generally a fair deal; about 20 bucks for a pretty large serving. The fish seemed well seasoned with the amount of black pepper in the batter, but unfortunately it wasn't. The fish and chips were both fried perfectly, but needed just bit more flavor - a little more salt, paprika, etc. Ketchup was requested as there isn't any available for self serve. I went back to my room with a greasy layer on my clothes - too bad it wasn't a very flavorful layer.

Great job! Deep fried chicken tenders are easy to mess up. This place does NOT! Do yourself a favor and eat in the restaurant. Deep fried food does not travel well, but I know some people don't mind it like I do. Place is clean and neat. It's not fancy, but it's a good value for good food.

The chicken fingers and fried fish Uncle Joe's offers are the best in town. I go there for the fish. You have a choice of cod, catfish or tilapia. They also have shrimp. The meal comes with fries, cole slaw, grilled Texas toast, and tartar sauce. The portions are sizable and hit the spot. So, when you get a hankering for chicken fingers or fried fish, check out Uncle Joe's. You won't be disappointed. Heck, I think they could bread and deep fry an old shoe and make it tasty. These people really know their stuff.

Taste like Zaxby and Canes. Looks like Zaxby and Canes. It is Detroit version of Zaxby and Canes with fried seafood on the menu. Food is good , chicken not as salty as Zaxby. No sweet tea though but fruit punch is sweet enough I like their wall decorations. They hang some old pictures of Detroit when the auto industry was booming

I've seen or driven by this spot dozens of times. Today was their lucky day so I decided to give them a try. I must say I was pleasantly surprised and delighted. I kept it simple and ordered the tenders straight with no chaser. I was given the "House" dipping sauce. Tenders and dipping sauce were perfect. Battered lightly , not cooked too hard at all. Very minimal seasoning at best.

This is my favorite place for chicken tenders hands down. When I tell you that the batter is so light and fluffy, you must believe me. They've got their tenders down to a science. They are just the right amount of flaky and crisp. They have never been over cooked. I have gone to this place almost a year. The Signature dipping sauce is also excellent. I'm not quite sure what's in it, but it's great! The dinners come with fries, a slice of Texas toast, and a side of coleslaw. The coleslaw is kind of hit or miss, but it's such a small part of the meal that it really doesn't matter. Order from here and you won't be sorry.

I got on yelp and was looking for someplace new to eat at for lunch. I found this place on yelp and was reading all the positive reviews and decided this was where I was going for lunch. I got the four-finger combo. And I got the Starter Combo to bring back for a co-worker. The chicken fingers were tender and juicy. Uncle Joe's sauce was yummy. Everything was delicious. The staff was super nice and friendly. My coworker also thought the chicken fingers and sauce is really good. I am really impressed with this place. Thanks, Uncle Joe!
